Winchester House

So, I've always been fascinated by the Winchester House -- that house that the Winchester widow kept building for 83 years on advice of a psychic. Little did I know it's here in San Jose, and was only about 4 mi. from the hotel. So we ran over to the house and got the economy tour (which only lets you see 110 of the 160+ rooms).

If that wasn't exciting enough, there's this enormous BevMo liquor store just down the street! It was like walking into a boozy heaven!

Unfortunately, BevMo wouldn't allow photography, so here are some pics of the Winchester House:

i like the pic i think that house is awsome

Hi!

I would like to use two of your photos above in a presentation I am going to give at a conference (http://jax.de/wjax2010/). I do not earn money by giving this talk, but it still is a "commercial" setting. Since your blog uses a Creative Commons license that prohibits commercial use, I am asking you, if you would not mind to explicitely give me the right to use to use these photos, for this presentation.

Kind Regards
Victor

Hi Victor,

Since you are using it in a presentation, without compensation, it should be fine. Note the following caveats:

"You may not alter, transform, or build upon these images." -- So, no using them as part of another image, and no modifying them.

"You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work)." -- So, please mention www.zuckervati.com near/below the image.

"You may not use this work for commercial purposes."

So, as long as you don't directly earn money through publishing of these photos, there should be no problem.
